Mello Zone

Public work / honest limits / visible progress

A home that shows its work.

Mello Zone believes a smaller community can set a bigger standard. This is the record of what changed, what was actually verified, and what still cannot be claimed.

Why this exists

Progress should be inspectable.

Release notes are not a substitute for community care, but they make promises easier to test. Search submission is not indexing. A local performance trace is not field data. A source fix is not a live fix until the deployed build matches it.

  1. A new Mello world is source-complete

The public experience now uses one Astro and Cloudflare stack with a scene-based WebGL world, a left navigation rail, compact footer, and server-rendered HTML beneath every visual effect.

    • All established public page slugs remain protected by a generated route contract.
    • Original descriptions, story copy, accomplishments, links, and article bodies passed generated preservation checks against the previous public build.
    • Motion respects reduced-motion preferences and never supplies the only copy, link, or navigation path.
    • Priority routes and every indexable article now pass a contextual body-link audit that excludes menus, sitemaps, and listing mechanics.

Evidence boundary: Source, production-build, Worker-preview, and Cloudflare dry-run checks passed. This is not proof that the replatform is deployed, faster in production, indexed, or ranked.

  2. Privacy runtime and third-party tracking reduced

The site-wide Iubenda runtime and unused analytics loaders were removed while direct privacy, storage, GPC, and external-media disclosures remained public.

    • The legal privacy, cookies, do-not-share, privacy-center, and transparency routes remain available.
    • A local production trace made no request to Iubenda, Google Analytics, Clarity, Ahrefs, AdSense, or DoubleClick.
    • The consent-manager removal did not become permission to hide storage or external-service behavior.

Evidence boundary: Source and local laboratory checks passed. A new production network trace remains required after the redesigned stack is deployed.

  3. Bing and IndexNow release ordering repaired

Cloudflare Managed Robots no longer causes an expected robots-byte difference to stop Bing readiness and change-detected IndexNow work.

    • The six priority routes passed HTTP, canonical, crawl-permission, and challenge checks.
    • IndexNow evaluated actual sitemap changes and made no redundant submission when nothing changed.
    • The workflow still distinguishes submission readiness from indexing or ranking.

Evidence boundary: Repository validation and the post-deploy workflow passed. Authenticated Bing index selection remains external evidence.

  4. Creator indexing monitor made accountable

A scheduled authenticated Search Console monitor now records semantic indexing changes without reporting missing credentials or timestamp noise as healthy progress.

    • Seven creator URLs and the registered sitemap are inspected on a daily schedule.
    • The baseline honestly recorded zero indexed pages, one URL known to Google, and six unknown inner URLs.
    • Alerts open only when meaningful crawl, canonical, robots, sitemap, or index states change.

Evidence boundary: The initial and repeat monitor runs passed; no indexing result or recrawl date is promised.

  5. You Matter became the dedicated care publisher

Mental-health and LGBTQ+ support publishing moved to You Matter so Mello Zone can concentrate search authority on furry community, VRChat, events, creators, moderation, and culture.

    • Eleven legacy Mello support paths preserve direct permanent handoffs to their intended You Matter destinations.
    • Provider profiles no longer compete with Mello Zone community pages in the parent-site sitemap.
    • The WordPress sitemap contract excludes noindex taxonomy archives and keeps provider content on its dedicated property.

Evidence boundary: Production redirect and You Matter sitemap audits passed at the recorded release revision.
