Each row is one named edition, listed alphabetically by convention rather than ranked by attendance. “Verified” is the UTC source-check date, not an independent audit of attendance. On smaller screens, scroll the table horizontally.

About this dataset

This dataset turns part of Mello Zone's convention and community reporting into a reusable reference. Completed editions include organizer-reported attendance where available; missing totals remain explicit alongside scheduled and postponed events.

9 selected US convention editions from 2025–2026, including completed 2026 events and scheduled or postponed editions; not a representative sample or complete convention census. It is not a ranking, a travel-booking service or an estimate of the number of furries. Convention inclusion does not imply a partnership or endorsement.

Methodology

• Identify a specific convention edition, keeping its year in a stable record ID. Never move a prior year's attendance figure into a newer edition.
• Check the organizer's own event page, dated announcement or wrap-up. Record which fields each source supports. Secondary reporting can prompt research but is not the source of an attendance total here.
• Keep attendance separate from badge sales, daily visits, parade participation and estimates. Publish an organizer's total with its label; where the method is unspecified, say so.
• Distinguish completed, scheduled and postponed editions from the source, not the calendar alone. Missing attendance is not zero; a hoped-for rescheduled year is not a confirmed date.
• Record the source-check date and update the HTML table, CSV and JSON together from one dataset. Review time-sensitive rows when new organizer notices or corrections are received.

Fields & downloads

Dates use ISO YYYY-MM-DD in downloads and refer to the event's local calendar dates. attendance is an integer only when reported; otherwise it is JSON null or an empty CSV cell. attendanceStatus distinguishes organizer-reported, not-reported and not-applicable. Event status is a separate field. CSV uses snake_case column names; JSON uses camelCase.

Both files include stable IDs, edition years, locations, dates, attendance, status, source URLs, field provenance, verification dates and notes. JSON also contains dataset-level methodology and reuse guidance; CSV includes the dataset version on every row. Neither file includes personal attendee data.

  The organizer thanks 17,301 attendees in its May 10 closing announcement; the counting method is not specified. The survival guide's closing-ceremony line says May 3, before its May 7 opening. The dated May 10 organizer notice confirms closing day instead; the conflicting guide line is not used as the end date.
